Artist Statement

The work of artists Adam Frezza and Terri Chiao explores play and craft across a variety of media. Recent collaborative work includes monoprints made from rolling ink on pancakes, photos of plants fabricated from paper, hand-cut geometrical shelves, and drawings/paintings of imagined patterns, landscapes, and treehouses. Individually, Adam creates quirky conceptual drawings, paintings, and collages that challenge the tension between ethereal and physical substances (www.adamfrezza.com). An architect by training, Terri's work investigates issues of housing and inhabitation in the contemporary city through model-making, speculative drawing, and image-making (www.asmallspace.com).
