Artist Statement

My work is a combination of printmaking, papermaking and collage. Etchings, collographs, monotypes and silicone intaglios are printed on delicate Japanese papers, then torn up and collaged, sometimes in many layers, over my own handmade papers. My work has been strongly influenced by my experience of the natural world and by traditional Japanese aesthetics.
