Artist Statement

I have always been an expressionist and a chronicler of our times. I believe that form follows subject matter not function. In this regard you can't predict what my paintings will look like from their titles. There is, however a certain style which will determine the painting. I have been inspired b y the great masters of the past, but my interpretations are uniquely mine. Light, shade depth, composition and color,all the basic skills, are used to reveal new facets of reality in the subjects I choose.
