Artist Statement
Today media and technology bombard us; it feels as though meaning has become detached from itself. The search for meaning often encourages vanity and futility, even finds satisfaction in it. I believe that as an artist I should assume responsibility. As I am facilitating an experience for my viewer by using an unfamiliar language, inconceivable; though often understood. My work; a birth of new creatures, temporary logic, and something that work but you don't know why. I intend to preserve an ancient magic while adapting it to our modern world.
The Guestbook
wexy says: Hi Megan, thanks for the tour. Good luck Rich
michael.northrop says: Strong, dramatic paintings; very striking and distinctive. The pieces have an expressionistic feel that I really like.
