Artist Statement

My work questions what happens to the world if the physical elements of place- ground, sky, walls- are removed. Remaining is an internal space composed of movement and energy. The paintings explore organic systems, sacred geometry, and mythic traditions. Patterned surfaces and transparent membranes result in a unique form of sensual abstraction. The work is a playful and deeply serious encounter with guardians, poison flowers and a state of rapture.
