Artist Statement

We live in a social world — taking, sharing and deleting photos daily. I’ve been collecting such images for 20 years where men like Kevin consume me. As wallpaper, he is just one of many that make up a community of men using photography to not only define themselves but change the very nature of the medium. As posters, he is the missing person that eventually leads to a tragic email. And as a life-size desktop, he is God. Come by my studio to see this series that was nominated for the Discovery Prize at the 2011 Rencontres d'Arles, France.
