Artist Statement

C. J. Rosenthal has been painting iconic images for more than thirty years. His bold, luminous and darkly humorous canvases have been exhibited in locations as far flung as London, Paris, Barcelona, La Rochelle, Tucson, Los Angeles and New York City. Charles currently lives cheerfully in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, scene of North America’s worst oil spill (prior to the BP gulf spill), with his girlfriend Kimberly, his surrogate children (they're actually Golden Retrievers) Scully and Squid, and Frank the cat.
