Artist Statement

In drawings, films, and public gardens Christina playfully engages with the ecology, history, and daily life of her hometown. In Brooklyn her work has been presented at Proteus Gowanus, The Invisible Dog, The Old Stone House, dumbo_video festival and BAM. Her Lenape heritage corn gardens were supported by the DOT Urban Art Program and Brooklyn Arts Council. She works in a home studio where you'll see, among other things, drawings of wild pigs, rare varieties of corn, and a letter from the US Treasury approving her idea to compost US currency.
