Artist Statement

The urban landscape while providing a chance to explore formalistic elements in my paintings has always been more about a sense of place, connecting with shared experiences and memories of past events. There is an implied presence of people in the work.
The paintings include wide vistas and intimate details. Most of the work is acrylic on canvas or panel.
