Artist Statement

Carleen Sheehan's current work, the “Convertibles Series,” combines a range of media to create open-ended narratives of distilled chaos and spectacular abundance. The imagery depicts fusions of the built and natural worlds, in a space that reveals itself by unfolding and unraveling, creating connections and generating content. The work plays with a kind of "cat's cradle" type of space, one that is un-fixed and might shift with the pull of a string.
