Artist Statement

In my work, I explore cultural and political difference, how knowledge is constructed, and how consumption and waste are a cycle of contemporary material and cultural production. I find myself obsessed with the things that depress me most: advertising, plastic objects biding their time between being made and becoming landfill, and fashion. Lately the object of the greatest interest is online conversations, web commentary, and political dialogue -their tone, character, and the way they embody a balkanized world.
