Artist Statement

Developing my work at Clayworks over the past year has been a transformative experience. I have turned my focus from painting and assemblage to fabricating ceramic works; functional works, sculptural works, and functional sculptures. Over the next several months I plan to continue exploring textural and structural possibilities for functional ceramic wares, taking inspiration from geometry, fractals and organic shapes in nature, juxtaposing them with themes of modernism and humanity.
