Artist Statement

I moved to Brooklyn from London, England, and as a still life photographer here, my clients include auction houses, museums, and artists. I study with the painters Frank O’Cain and Henry Finkelstein and my artwork has been exhibited at Christies and The Art Students League, and is held in private collections.

My drawing and painting has become more abstract as recognizable elements indicate movement only. While I begin a work before a subject it is the translation of three-dimensional form onto a flat surface that inspires me. Each work is an exploration of dynamics and visual metaphor.

The Guestbook

mgradel says: I especially loved seeing the abstract nudes. The sense of color (and whitespace) is beautiful as is the movement in many of the canvases.
