Artist Statement

My work explores the intersections between human life and digital experience. I am interested in the everyday use of convenience machines and the simultaneous backlash against their influence. My search in art making is for the places of alignment between the world we view on the computer screen and the natural world that surrounds us.

My practice is haunted by the idea of space— my subject matter is inhabited or abandoned environments: dilapidated transportation systems, crowded marketplaces and sleepy farmhouses on the cusp of crumble. I believe that in these spaces lies the key to our intrinsic humanity.
