Artist Statement

There are 2 groups of works: paintings on canvas, and on found plywood pieces.
The work is driven by an explorative, intuitive process, aware of not only the improvisational form of the painting at hand, but also of the provisional nature of the notion of painting itself.
Ideally, the single painting achieves its its resolution through its own means.
In other words: the painting is specific.
