Artist Statement

What contains us?
What constrains us?
What secures us?
And where do we find freedom?

Tinged with anxiety, my work often explores themes of interiority and exteriority, and considers how issues of control are negotiated across real and imagined boundaries. My projects investigate psychological, social, and political questions, examining the intersection of public and private spheres. I am interested in the ways we imagine and prepare for self-preservation in scenarios of scarcity, and the mental and physical bunkers we create to contain and protect what we consider our own.
