Artist Statement

Monotypes and silkscreens provide a starting point for my paintings, collaging images to form a close up view of a landscape. These are places made up to suggest memory and the passing of time. The printed image represents a delay; time condensed. It's like a found object - the print poses a false start, then I do something to it, around it, on it.

The Guestbook

raidlin says: Cecilia is continually challenging herself and us in her artistic explorations. Looking at her artwork makes me rethink what I see and know of my own world. Her pieces are exquisitly mysterious and beautiful. I have watched her work grow and transform over many years. She is a powerhouse of an artist.
