Artist Statement

I alter existing imagery and use multiples to cumulatively generate a narrative.
I like a good sense of humor, the combination of disparate imagery and the symbolism of common materials.
I buy police targets from gun supply stores. The thug is a Ronald Reagan look alike printed by US Customs and Immigration. I alter these targets to negate and bring levity to the images innate symbolism.
Cancelled postage stamps have existing imagery and color that once collaged become small narratives.
The sculptures are everyday objects sewn from roofing rubber resulting in objects that are funny yet dark.
