Artist Statement

My process is a traversal of memory, impression, and intuition, in which I rework extensively, relying on the revisions to reveal new directions. The human figure is a reoccurring theme in my work, but appears in fragmented, illusory form. I work with acrylic paint because of its immediacy. Thin layers cooperate and compete to form a history as well as chaos.

In my current projects I am creating an immersive experience that emerges from a conversation between the paintings and the companion sculptures.
