Artist Statement

My art is deeply connected to my emotions and spirit. Ideas of mutation, anthropomorphic nature and the life cycle rise through recurrent elements and characters. I am interested in the tension between nature and culture, which I parallel with individual growth.

My drawings refer to comic books, except that the narration is compressed in one single image. In my sculptures, I experiment more with materials and objects. Composition varies according to arbitrary factors such as number and shape. For example, the tree and I have equally participated in the creation of “ Branches” (2012).
