Artist Statement

The forms seen in my work often come from memory and accumulated experiences. There is a film that plays endlessly, in my mind. The idea of creating an abstract image that is both solid and luminous has made me mark papers with different intensity by using pencils, ink, charcoal, wax and watercolor.
Often photographs, paper documents and storyboard sequences - that were originally planned for a film, are instrumental in synthesizing images of places and characters, embedded in the imagination.
